I hate looking for a job

I have come to the conclusion that I wasted 4 years of my life and whole bunch of money while attending college.  After exchanging a few emails with the engineering career services at Ohio State, I learned that even people graduating this year are having trouble landing jobs with less than 2 years of co-op/internship experience.  The saturation of EE’s is incredible, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.  Every company I’ve tried to talk with, large or small, local or nationwide, has pretty much turned me away without a meaningful interview due to lack of experience (I have 1 quarter of internship).  They seem even more afraid when they learn I’ve been out of school for 4 years.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have majored in civil, mechanical, materials, industrial, or anything besides electrical or computer engineering.  I would of even gone pre-med or pre-law.  Just try to get as far away from electrical engineering as possible.  Ohio State is still graduating, far and away, more EE’s than any other engineering discipline.

I’ve decided my only option now is to go back to school.  I’m scheduled to take the GMAT which is the equivalent of the LSAT/MCAT/GRE for MBA students.  With any luck I’ll be pursuing an MBA degree in the next semester or two.

Note: No, we do not have a baby yet :)

We have video!

I’ve been experimenting with the video camera and some different video editing software, so here is a short clip of the baby’s room.
