Speaker Stand

Some of you may remember the tower speakers that were given to me by Alex after KeithSpeaker Stand and I moved out of 32 E Northwood.  Well I finally decided to get rid of them and move to something smaller and cheaper.  Those big towers just didn’t fit in our new living room (not that they fit in the old one, but they were free).  I picked up some new bookshelf speakers from Best Buy with some gift cards I had received at Christmas time.   We had an actual bookshelf on one side of the TV that would hold the right speaker, but nothing on the left, so I used some scrap wood I had in the garage and built a speaker stand.  I also replaced the car stereo grill on the subwoofer with something more traditional.

Dining / Sunroom

Dining room

Haven’t posted a picture in a while, so here is our dining room/sunroom area off the kitchen. Abbey and her Mom picked out the table settings.

Field Trip

Abbey and I took a full day and drove up to Detroit to visit the Ikea store. We stopped off in Perrysburg and picked up my parent’s van just in case we bought too much stuff for the car. A tire on the van blew out on I275 about halfway to our destination, so in addition to going to Ikea, I also visited a tire shop. Everything worked out well and we still had plenty of shopping time.

The store was enormous and packed with people. We explored the second floor and picked out some furniture possibilities, then had lunch at the cafeteria. Over lunch, we decided on a TV/AbbeyEntertainment stand, bookshelf, dresser, and nightstands. After lunch we toured the first floor and picked up some lamps. The drive home wasn’t nearly as exciting, but we managed to fit everything in the car when we stopped over in Perrysburg to drop off the van.
All the furniture comes disassembled, so we spent a good 5 or 6 hours assembling everything when we got home.

Mugshots

One of my friends commented that I don’t have any pictures of the front or outside of the house posted. So here are some pics of the front, side, and back.
